Auction Submit tm Reference Guide
Current Auctions Screen
The Current Auctions screen displays all of your auctions that are running. The main display
shows the item number, title, closing date, current price, and auction site of each item. The
bottom of the display also has three buttons. These buttons allow you to view an auction in more
detail, end an auction early, and update the status of the current auctions.
View Auction Button:
The View Auction button opens a View Auction Screen for the auction
that has been highlighted in the main display. The view auction screen provides more detailed
information on an auction than is available in the main display.
End Auction Button:
The End Auction button allows you to end an auction early. This feature contacts the auction
site your auction item is on and terminates the listing. You can also access this function by right clicking your mouse or by using the Listing dropdown menu. Note: Ending auctions
early can jeopardize your standing on some sites, so use this feature only if absolutely necessary.
Move Auction Button:
The Move Auction button allows you to manually move an auction from the Current Screen to either the
Unsold or Sold screen. You should almost never need to use this feature. This button is just a contingency
feature that accounts for the possibility that an auction site may make a programming change that might
temporarily preclude Auction Submit from updating auctions. This gives you the option to manually move an auction in the interim time that it takes us to modify Auction Submit to compensate for this.
If you highlight a listing and click the "Move" button, a listing with no bids will move to the "Unsold" screen. A listing with bids will be moved to the "Sold" screen. You can also access this function by right clicking your mouse or by using the Listing dropdown menu.
Update Auctions Button:
The Update Auctions button starts the process of updating the status of each of your current
auctions. This feature examines all of your current auction items and determines if you have
a bid, who the high bidder is, and if the auction is closed. Once the update process is done,
the main display will be updated with the new information about your auctions. If an auction
has closed it will be moved to either the Sold screen or the
Unsold screen. Note: If you have a large number of auctions,
this feature may take a little while.
